Personal Data Protection (KVKK)
This notice explains how your personal data is processed when you use this website, in accordance with Türkiye’s Personal Data Protection Law (KVKK, No. 6698).
1. Data Controller
Personal data is processed by Assoc. Prof. Tuba Erkoç Baydar (“the Data Controller”). Contact: tuba.baydar@ihu.edu.tr.
2. Personal Data Processed
Via the contact form: name, e-mail address, institution, title and message content. Technical data: IP address and cookie/analytics data collected automatically when you visit the site.
3. Purposes of Processing
To respond to your enquiries, to manage academic and media communication, to ensure the security of the website and to produce anonymous usage statistics.
4. Legal Basis
Processing is based on your explicit consent and on the legitimate interests of the Data Controller within the meaning of Article 5 of the KVKK (Law No. 6698).
5. Transfer to Third Parties
Data may be processed through service providers used to operate the site: Supabase (hosting/storage), Resend (e-mail delivery) and Google Analytics (anonymous statistics). Some providers may store data abroad.
6. Retention Period
Contact messages are retained only as long as necessary for the purpose of communication and are then deleted. Analytics data is retained according to the provider’s standard period.
7. Your Rights (Art. 11)
You have the right to learn whether your data is processed, to request information, correction or deletion, and to object to processing. Requests can be sent to the e-mail address above.
